Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox received a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She survived on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and she pondered what alternative route she could take. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. She quit the group prior to their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. The band was where she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began to work for her debut album as a solo artist Diva which was released in 1992. It was a huge success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record came out in November of 2014. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top soul jazz blues tracks from early childhood. In addition in May 2019 Lennox released Lepidoptera a collection of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. This is the companion album to her Now I let it go... art installation that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first independent album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25, 1954. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to become famous internationally in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career with her first album Diva in 1992. This was the source of several hit songs, including Why andWalking in Broken Glass. Medusa, a 1995 studio album that features the cover versions of some popular songs like No MoreILove Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. The six solo studio albums as well as her compilation album contain a variety of tracks.
